Участь в конференції "Забезпечення прав дитини в умовах збройного конфлікту".
До святкування 30-ти річчя конвенції ООН про права дитини, міжнародна організація Save the Children запросила дітей зі шкіл-учасниць проекту "Безпечні школи на сході України" до участі в конференції "Забезпечення прав дитини в умовах збройного конфлікту".
Захід було організовано
Уповноваженим Верховної Ради з прав людини, міжнародною організацією Save the Children, фондом ООН Unicef.
Діти вперше були присутні на подібному заході, але відверто висловлювали свою точку зору. Також взяли участь в панельній дискусії та відверто розказали дорослим про грубе порушення прав через конфлікт. Один із дітей наголосив на тому, що важливо не тільки надавати дітям можливість говорити а і бути почутими.
На заході були присутні гості: омбудсмени Молдови, Грузії, Боснії та Герцоговіни, Албанії, голова Верховної Ради України Дмитро Розумков, уповноважена Верховної Ради України з прав людини Людмила Денісова, уповноважена Верховної Ради з прав дитини Аксана Філіпішина. Є велика надія, що діти були почутими, і зміни відбудуться найближчим часом!
Проект "Безпечні школи на Сході України" реалізується громадською організацією "Істок" в партнерстві з міжнародною неурядовою гуманітарною організацією Save the Children International.
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child , the international organization "Save the Children" has invited children from schools participating in the project "Safe Schools in the Eastern Ukraine" to participate in the conference "Ensuring the Rights of the Child during Armed Conflict".
The event was organized by the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, international organization "Save the Children", UNICEF.
Children were present at a such event for the first time, but they frankly expressed their point of view. They also participated in a panel discussion and openly told adults about severe
violations of their rights due to the conflict. One of the children emphasized that it was
important not only to give children the opportunity to speak out but also to be heard.
The event was attended by: Ombudsmen of Moldova, Georgia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov, Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova, Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Children's Rights Oksana Filipishina.
There is a big hope that children will be heard and the changes will happen soon!
The project "Safe Schools in the Eastern Ukraine" is implemented by the public organization
"Istok" in partnership with the international non-governmental humanitarian organization "Save the Children International".
